Simple Syrup Recipe
I always have simple syrup ready in my larder. It is so handy to have ready and it is versatile in the kitchen. I use it for fresh lemonade, margheritas, cocktails, desserts, Japanese cuisine, Korean cuisine and South East Asian cuisine. The beauty of this syrup is that it can be infused with any flavours you wish, such as but not limited to ginger, lemongrass, yuzu, orange, cinnamon and more. I keep it stored in glass jars which have been sterilized in the dishwasher.

- If infusing the syrup add the ingredient such as ginger once the sugar has dissolved and follow the same process but remember to remove the ginger before closing the lid.
